8. Merchant Responsibilities Regarding Customer Data

As a ZCOMMERZ merchant, you independently collect, process, and manage personal data of your customers through your online store. ZCOMMERZ acts as a data processor on your behalf in respect of such customer data, while you remain the data controller.

You are solely responsible for:

Ensuring that your collection, use, and processing of customer data complies with all applicable privacy laws and regulations, including the Digital Security Act of Bangladesh.
Maintaining a clear, accurate, and accessible privacy policy on your store.
Obtaining appropriate consents from your customers for data collection, use, and any tracking or analytics tools deployed through the platform.
Responding to customer requests regarding access, correction, or deletion of their personal data.

ZCOMMERZ shall not be held liable for any merchant’s failure to comply with applicable data protection laws or for any misuse of customer data by merchants.

9. Children’s Privacy

ZCOMMERZ is designed for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under this age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a minor, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
